A DEN employee is resilient, adaptable and prepared for any adventure.
Each office is different. Embrace the change and learn from each work environment.
The #1 focus of your day is the patient. You are there to keep the patient on track toward overall wellness.
Remember your DISC tools to help you adapt and get your needs met.
Take pride in your workspace. REMEMBER, that is someone else's permanent workspace. You are a guest.
Your app is the way you communicate with the DEN.
1) Open app and let us know you are on your way.
2) Don't forget to clock in and clock out.
3) The office does know that you will be accessing your phone to clock in, clock out, and any communication you may need to complete with The DEN
Your morning mindset form can be printed the night before or accessed on your workday computer at your temp job or on your phone.
Unless otherwise stated by staff, the DEN expects you to open all the cabinets and familiarize yourself with your work area. ( Do not be shy about this) You want to know where everything is before you start your first patient to minimize interruptions to your day and other staff members' day.
Keep BUSY.
1) Make sure all of your instruments are taken care of.
2) Stock your room
3) Catch up on notes
4) Ask if anyone needs help
5) DO NOT CLOCK OUT
Getting a good end-of-day routine is critical. You have 30 minutes to get notes completed, the operatory shut down and instruments taken care of at the end of your day.
TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR WORKSPACE
The 3 DEN non-negotiables:
1) Never leave the op unstocked when you leave. ( set up the next clinician for success)
2) Always thoroughly clean op and put things back where you found them.
3) Always ask if anyone needs anything before you clock out.
