Childhood Food Insecurities: Fighting for the Future
COURSE OBJECTIVES
- Define food insecurity.
- Identify childhood populations that are at risk for food insecurity.
- Identify mediating institutions which may assist in childhood food insecurity.
- Explain how childhood food insecurity may result in disordered eating/eating disorders.
- Identify caries/periodontal risk factors affected by food insecurity.

Five Things I Wish My Dentist Would Have Told Me
The purpose of this course is to help attendees identify the challenges dental personnel face while working with the pediatric dental population. Discuss various types of patient personalities to determine how to properly manage patient behavior based on personality types. The course will also teach communication strategies to better connect with each parent and patient in order to improve the patient's oral care habits.
